Entry numero uno!

Very exciting, for me and only me of course, my very first blog. So I'm way behind the times, OK.

Why am I creating this blog? Well, because I'm special. OK, don't take that seriously, that's just my first joke. Pretty lame? Well, hold onto your seats cause I'm sure I'll squeeze out a couple more of those puppies before the night is young.

The real reason why I have started this blog, tho I have no business letting anyone know what's going on in this foggy noggin of mind, is. . . I think I might be interesting. Not interesting in the way of being different, interesting in the way of being the same as everyone else. OK, we all want to be different, to stand out, which , if you ask me, can be all so annoying because in the meantime, how many people are we connecting with on any given day becuase we are trying to stand so far out. Who do we really know? I mean, do we even know ourselves? I mean really... really know ourselves...(pause for contemplation).

OK, I admit, I've lived in New York my entire friggin (p.s. I had lunch with someone the other day who used "frockin"a number of times, don't do this people) life, so I fo sho know how hard it is to trust people. I've been dumped, cheated on, stalked, called racists names by strangers, had interesting conversations with people that have quite shortly after become a threat to my life, not to mention the glorious abundance of unfamiliar penises that have been whipped out at me in public places. So, believe me, I know how hard it is, scratch that. . .difficult it is to want to connect with people.

So here's my point. Even though I don't feel very often like people are, how do you say,"catching my drift", and enjoy informing me that I'm weird, "but in a good way" (because for some reason they feel I can concur with this assessment of myself), I think many people can actually relate to me. I think many people have walked in my shoes for at least a minute, and I've walked in theirs.

So I'm writing this blog to tell you my side of the story. To blab away about my opinions and experiences in my life. Maybe someone will relate and be inspired to tell their side of the story. Or maybe the only person who will read this blog is my husband, who I will now force to proofread.
